With around 4,800 students, the Dresden
University of Applied Sciences is the second largest university in Dresden. The research and
teaching at HTW Dresden is oriented toward three interdisciplinary profile lines: securing the
natural basis of life, developing sustainable mobility and infrastructure, and shaping, networking
and digitizing the economy and work. With its application-oriented research, the university is an
important partner, especially for medium-sized companies in Saxony, and is very well networked with
the numerous research centers in Dresden as a science location.
